Liberty Farmers Market--Fridays 3-6pm at Creekside Park (behind the Main Street Stage) 

Come visit the Liberty Farmer's Market this Friday from 3-6pm to grab farm-fresh local produce, meat, eggs, milk, prepared foods, maple products, cut flowers, and garden plants. Check us out on Facebook to follow what's happening at the market!

 

Spirit of Liberty Concert--Friday, August 2, 4-7pm at Creekside Park in Liberty

Our August 2 farmers market will include a special free rock concert by The Electric Chords. Hailing from Liberty, The Electric Chords deliver a groovy twist on rock music mixed with blues, funk, jazz, and soul influences. This power trio has established a solid collection of original tunes that they’ll roll out for fans and newcomers alike at this free performance in the park.

 

Come Hike With Us! Frick Pond--Saturday, August 3, 10am 

Immerse yourself in Catskills nature on an easy 2 mile hike and talk on the ecological systems, natural history and wildlife around Frick Pond. The hike will be led by Catskill Mountainkeeper Associate Director Wes Gillingham, a naturalist who has taught college field courses on wild lands across North America. The group will meet at Frick Pond trailhead at 10 A.M. For more to do in Sullivan County after your hike, check out I Love New York's guideSign up for this hike (space is limited).

Summerfest--The Catskill Fly Fishing Center and Museum (CFFCM), August 3 & 4.

Summerfest returns to the Catskill Fly Fishing Center & Museum Aug. 3-4, 2019, bigger and better than ever with a few surprises in store. The Hardy Cup and Casting Course Challenge will begin on Saturday. Both days will offer free fly-tying lessons for kids, provided by the Catskill Fly Tyers Guild. On Saturday at 3 p.m., there will be a showing of the Orvis movie “50/50 on the Water.” Sunday at 1pm Catskill Mountainkeeper's Sam Wright will be presenting on our HeatSmart campaign in Wulff--come out and learn how you can heat & cool your home, while cutting back on fossil fuels! 

Meet & Greet Featuring Senator Jen Metzger--August 13, 5:30pm-8:30pm Roscoe Beer Company

Our state legislators have a big impact on local and statewide environmental issues. We don’t often have the opportunity to hear directly from legislators about their commitments to the environment. Mountainkeeper is joining the NY League of Conservation Voters, Friends of the Upper Delaware River, Delaware Highlands Conservancy and Orange County Land Trust for this Meet & Greet, to bring your representatives to you!
