On March 4th at 4pm, the Delaware Valley Arts Alliance (DVAA) is inviting artist Robyn Almquist--whose work is closely related to climate change and environmental destruction--to speak on her exhibition, "The Space Between You and Me," in the Alliance Gallery.
Before Robyn's presentation, Mountainkeeper will introduce Rebekah Creshkoff, an environmentalist and member of Beyond Plastics--a grassroots organization dedicated to eliminating the use of single-use plastics.
Rebekah is a wordsmith who served time in the corporate world, an environmental advocate, and wannabe naturalist. In 1997, she began checking Manhattan buildings for birds that had collided with glass and founded Project Safe Flight, now one of NYC Audubon's signature programs. Vegetarian since the age of 10, Rebekah turned vegan in 2019 to reduce her carbon footprint. Judith Enck's Beyond Plastic Pollution class inspired her to become a fervent anti-plastics warrior. A longtime student and assistant teacher of tai chi, she works at the Callicoon Farmers' Market and performs with the Farm Arts Collective and Delaware Valley Opera. Rebekah is happiest when she's outdoors.
We hope to see you at this free event, and please RSVP beforehand!
