On Saturday, October 11th Mountainkeeper will honor Natalie Merchant, famed singer-songwriter and champion of the environmental movement, and Jon Bowermaster, award-winning writer and filmmaker. A sneak preview of his new film Dear President Obama will be shown to the public for the first time at Taste of the Catskills, as part of a 2-day series of environmental films, performances and workshops.
Saturday's program will also feature the music of Griffin Anthony, who produced the score for the short film "Catskill Park" -- a Catskill Mountainkeeper production that will premier this fall (details to be announced soon!).
On Sunday, October 12th join us for a special production of NACL's Weather Project -- a dynamic and entertaining community theater production that merges art and science to create a dialogue about the weather and our lives, local history, environment, and current climate.
Maple Shade Farm, home of Taste of the Catskills, will again provide a picturesque and historic setting for an entertaining weekend of music on three stages, family activities, local food and beer, regional vendors, hayrides, films, puppet shows and more.
