Event Details: Science March & Peoples Climate March
Our environment and communities are being threatened daily. In Washington, D.C. we have science deniers making policy and budgetary decisions that will impact all of us for generations. They’re working on handing huge giveaways to the world’s biggest polluters, and we’re pushing back. This month, there are two opportunities to hit the streets and show the world what really makes America great.
The March for Science, April 22, is coming to a city near you. There are nearly 500 marches worldwide to support scientists and evidence-based policy. You’ll find marches throughout New York including Albany, Binghamton, Buffalo, Corning, Ithaca, NYC, Plattsburgh, Poughkeepsie, Rochester, Rockville Center, Saratoga, Schoharie, Stony Brook, Syracuse, Utica and Wellsville. Find yours here and we’ll see you in the streets!
The People’s Climate March is back by popular demand—April 29. After the successful 2016 New York City march, we’re taking the message to Washington, D.C. If you can’t make it to D.C., join a ‘sister march’—find one near you here.
You’ll see Mountainkeeper staff out and about at these events, and we look forward to sharing our experience. But we can’t be everywhere, so take us along on your march! Share a photo and story--tweet us @mountainkeeper #ClimateMarch #CMK and we’ll retweet and Facebook the best posts throughout the day.
Travel and march safely, and thank you for all that you do.
