Our annual virtual Catskill Park Day is just around the corner on February 2nd, and Mountainkeeper along with our partners at the Catskill Center are hosting two great webinars to celebrate the Park and plan for 2023. Please mark your calendar for the 2nd, and read on for more information on these two free events, including how to register to participate.
At noon, join us for a 45-minute ‘lunch & learn’ webinar all about winter hiking in the Catskills and cold-weather preparedness.

We’ll hear from expert hikers David Hans of the Catskill Center and Stash Rusin–former Vice President of the 3500 Club and producer of the ‘Inside the Line’ podcast–as they share their knowledge and tales from the trail. Whether you’re planning a winter backpacking trip or a casual walk through the woods, this webinar will provide important information that every hiker should have to stay safe and comfortable in the cold. Register now.
Then, at 7 pm hop back online to hear from key New York State decision makers about the challenges and opportunities facing the Catskill Park and broader region in 2023. This will be a moderated conversation featuring questions from the audience—so please come ready with your best questions! This will be a great opportunity to hear directly from key decision makers and Mountainkeeper allies about how best to tackle pressing environmental challenges in the Catskills, and work together on ways to protect this special part of the world.
