Catskill Mountainkeeper's Response to Governor Cuomo's 2020 State of the State

January 8, 2020 - In the 2020 State of the State address, Governor Cuomo announced plans for a $3 billion bond act. Catskill Mountainkeeper issued the following statement in response, attributable to Ramsay Adams, Executive Director.

Catskill Mountainkeeper applauds Governor Cuomo for his commitment to fund major investments in protecting New York's water, lands, and communities. In the Catskills, our natural environment is the backbone of our economy and our way of life. A bond act that will protect wetlands and floodplains while fighting the scourge of toxic algal blooms and invasive species will make our region more resilient to the impacts of the climate crisis and restore natural habitat. We look forward to working with the Governor to make this bond act's promise a reality.
