Catskill Mountainkeeper’s Save the Nature of the Catskills: Block Overdevelopment is a multifaceted, bioregional campaign to protect the Catskifor future generations. Mountainkeeper will build a network of local citizen groups to advocate for strong land-use protections at the local, county, and state levels, and we will create and share rigorous research and essential tools that can help grassroots and municipal officials protect our land, air, water, food, and community heritage from large-scale overdevelopment.
With your support, Catskill Mountainkeeper will:
- Identify & organize: You'll help us unite a network of local citizen groups and officials, facilitating the exchange of information and best practices to safeguard the Catskills and shape responsible land-use plans.
- Research & Empower: Through rigorous research, informative resources, and essential tools, your gift will equip our network with everything necessary to address large-scale development in the Catskills effectively.
- Advocate: Working with our network, Mountainkeeper will advocate on your behalf on two levels: fighting against projects that threaten our communities while advancing sound policies to protect natural resources. Whether lobbying in Albany for essential funding or mobilizing against detrimental proposals at local meetings, Mountainkeeper will be a steadfast advocate.
