Cosmos in the Catskills

When was the last time you looked up at the night sky and marveled at the vastness of our universe? Maybe you were about to climb into your sleeping bag for a cozy night on the trail, or maybe an irresistibly clear night led you out to the backyard to crane your neck at the stars.

On March 28th from 7-8pm, take a moment to stop and reflect on our place in the universe. We're inviting stargazing experts Irene Pease and John Kocijanski to share their knowledge of the night sky, and tips for beginners who are interested in astronomy. Topics covered in this free webinar will include identifying basic objects and constellations in the night sky, becoming familiar with useful gear, and where to find local stargazing clubs and access great locations for night sky viewing in Sullivan County.

We hope you'll join us for this bright (so to speak) discussion! This webinar is free and will be closed captioned for greater accessibility, but you must register in advance to participate.
