Energy from wind can be converted to electricity by using wind turbines.  Energy is created when wind blows over the blades of the wind turbine, causing them to lift and rotate.  The rotating blades turn a shaft that is connected to a generator, which creates electricity as it turns.

Good sites for wind farms are windy hilltops, open plains, and shorelines.
