We'll have our vetted solar installers on hand as well as our solar experts to answer questions and get you on the path to solar--everyone who signs up through Solarize Sullivan is eligible for free site assessment to help you figure out if solar is right for you.

This summer is our second Solarize Sullivan campaign. Last year we helped more than 30 households in our county go solar and installed more than 267 kw of solar capacity, saving a lot of money. This year we're looking to crush these numbers and make Sullivan County a leader in New York's clean energy revolution. But we can't do it without you. Join us on May 31 to learn more.  RSVP to solarizesullivan@gmail.com

Today, New York was met with exciting news! Arlington Storage Co., a subsidiary of Crestwood Midstream Partners, is abandoning controversial plans to expand natural gas storage in salt caverns along Seneca Lake.

Wes_Seneca_Lake_.jpg“The announcement that Crestwood is backing off their proposal to expand natural gas storage, for now, is good news to thousands of New Yorkers. This speaks volumes to the dedication to our land and commitment to a better future that New Yorker's keep in our hearts and our actions,” said, Wes Gillingham.  “With the current Federal giveaway to the Oil and Gas industry, New York stands out as a place where people are making a difference locally against the fossil fuels gang that has national implications. The multiple victories over greedy pipeline proposals and now this is making room for us to invest in a renewable future. The future of New York looks much better today!”

In case you missed it in all the hubub around the state budget, the Catskills Region received $7.35m in funding!!!  These resources will go to fight invasive species, improve trails and outdoor recreation, protect our vibrant forests, and support our communities.  Our thanks goes out to Governor Cuomo, the New York State Senate and Assembly, and to all of you--our work together made this possible.
