Elected officials, activists rally in Kingston, opposing controversial proposed pipelines for crude oil and gasoline transport: “There is no red or blue water.”

Kingston, NY – Ulster County Chief Executive Mike Hein joined lawmakers from Esopus, Plattekill, Rochester and Esopus, and a diverse array of clean energy advocates including farmers, physicians, faith-based and civil rights leaders, all standing together to confront Pilgrim, the company planning to build two controversial proposed oil and gasoline pipelines through the Hudson Valley.

Celebrate National Trails Day in Woodridge

Woodridge, NY – Saturday, June 7^th from 10:00-11:00AM, the public is invited to join Trailkeeper.org partners for a National Trails Day celebratory hike. The American Hiking Society’s National Trails Day^® is the country’s largest celebration of trails. Following the hike, come along to the opening day of the Rock Hill Farmers’ Market.

Meet at 9:45AM at Krieger Park on Greenville Road in Woodridge, NY to explore an easy 3.6 mile segment of the the former tracks of the Ontario & Western Railway company -- granted a second life as the “Rails to Trails” hiking and biking path.
