Keeper of the Catskills Award

Join us as we honor famed singer and song-writer Natalie Merchant and award-winning writer and filmmaker Jon Bowermaster for their lifetime of environmental and human rights activism. The annual "Keeper of the Catskills Award" recognizes the varied contributions of our region's environmental heroes. 

Environmental Film Series

A series of compelling short films will be shown on topics ranging from climate change and fracking to local food and Catskill history. The series highlight is Dear

President Obama on Saturday at 2pm. Jon Bowermaster will lead a sneak preview of his latest film, “Dear President Obama, Americans Against Fracking in One Voice,” and relay his first-hand account of the impacts of drilling.  Followed by a Q&A with Jon Bowermaster and Natalie Merchant. 

Silent Auction — Here’s your chance to take home some great finds, including:

     -  Tickets and backstage passes to an upcoming Natalie Merchant concert.

     - A two night stay and dinner for two at The Arnold House bed and breakfast in Livingston Manor, NY.

      - An afternoon of fly fishing, including a Vision VIPU 9ft 5wt fly rod, with a Ross FlyStart Reel and line. Plus a fly box with a dozen dry flies.

Catskill Brewery Farm Dinner

At the end of each day a tasty dinner will be served, created from the best that the area has to offer. The centerpiece of this year's meal will be roasted pork raised right on Maple Shade Farm and their neighbor Riverdale Farm. The main dishes are prepared by the Quarter Moon Cafe. Side dishes have been donated by some of the area's best farm-to-table restaurants including Rolling River Cafe and Hello Bistro. As a special treat Natalie Merchant and Jon Bowermaster will be joining us at Saturday's dinner. 

Barnfest Main Stage Performances - These are a must see!

The Firefighter McPadden Pipes and Drums, Griffin Anthony, NACL's Weather Project and our "Keeper of the Catskills Award" starting at 4:00pm.
