The Mountain Top Arboretum is located in the heart of the Catskill High Peaks in Tannersville New York.  It is a preserve and a garden with native trees shrubs and wildflowers as well as exotic transplants. Fifty different species of conifers and many varieties of oak, maple, mountain ash, hawthorn, rhododendron, mountain laurel, and wildflowers are thriving on the 10 acres of the Arboretum. On-site labeling on all species self-guides you through the collections of unfamiliar flora, helping you identify such exotic plantings as the Trojan horse fir, weeping katsura, Himalayan pine, Japanese larch, dawn redwood, swamp cypress, incense cedar, and bristlecone pine, as well as the more familiar native species of the Catskill Mountains.  Click here

The Homestead School opened in September 1978, to provide a rich academic and practical education within an exceptional rural setting. The School is located in the directors’ century-old family homestead on eighty-five acres of fields, woods, marshes, ponds and streams, twelve miles northwest of Port Jervis, New York. The School offers its students Montessori based programs for children ages 3 to 12. The Homestead educates the body, mind, and spirit of children through experiential learning, while holding high standards in academics and character development. Click here
