Ground Up:  Cultivating Sustainable Agriculture in the Catskill Region

The Ground Up” Study prepared in partnership with Catskill Mountainkeeper and the Open Space Institute reports on the current state of agricultural production in the Catskill and emphasizes the areas’s overwhelming potential to become a foodshed for the New York metropolitan market.  The report profiles six area farms/farmers and describes the ways these farmers have innovated in the areas of productions, processing and distribution and features several creative models to grow agriculture in the Catskills.
