EXHIBIT
2/3/2008
Feb 3-Mar 2; 6-10pm
"Metaphors for the Void", a night-time window video installation created by Livingston Manor artist, Glenn Church,.will be on view seven days a week between the hours of 6-10pm in the windows of Gallery Two at the CAS Arts Center. Passersby will witness eerie environments that weave together a rich tapestry of dreams and awakening; anxious landscapes; and the psychology of ruin. Resembling early cinema and aged film, this continuously looped sequence illuminates the nostalgic Victorian supernatural; the uncanny; and the homely and un-homely. Through its dark aesthetics the viewer is led into a created un-real dream.
