NOFA-NY Winter Conference

January 20, 2012 - January 22, 2012

The United Nations has declared 2012 as the International Year of Cooperatives. Building on this momentum, NOFA-NY has chosen The Cooperative Economy for the theme of their 2012 Winter Conference, set for January 20 through 22 in Saratoga Springs. The conference is nothing if not a team effort; from the technical workshops to the meals, it is the product of all of us working together.

The presenters donate their time and knowledge to help others learn new techniques and perfect old ones. This years keynote speakers include: John Ikerd, a Professor Emeritus of Agricultural Economics at the University of Missouri, Kathlyn Terry, executive director of Appalachian Sustainable Development (ASD), and the 2012 NOFA-NY Farmers of the Year Paul and Maureen Knapp.

For general questions about the Winter Conference, including sponsorship and tradeshow opportunities, please contact Matt Robinson, Education and Outreach Coordinator: (585) 271-1979 ext. 503 or [email protected].

The January 13th deadline to register before the conference has passed, however you can still attend the conference! They  will accept walk-in registrations at the conference.  For more information, click here.
