Catskill Mountainkeeper and Woodstock NY Transition, in partnership with the Woodstock Environmental Commission, are co-sponsoring a Green ESCOs Forum on
December 3rd, from 7-9 pm at the Town Office building, 45 Comeau Drive, in Woodstock.
Through New York Power to Choose, residents in New York can opt to purchase their energy from companies that offer “green” or renewal alternatives. Choosing to switch to and choosing among these Green Energy Suppliers (Green ESCOs) raises questions that may create a barrier to moving to a renewable energy option. The aim of the Green ESCOs Forum is to introduce Woodstock residents and businesses to options available for green energy supplies and to provide an opportunity for the public to ask questions of Green ESCOs supplying electric service in the Woodstock area.
Representatives of each Green ESCO will make a short oral presentation and then all the representatives attending will take questions. The forum will be televised and taped for screening on Woodstock’s cable access channel. The entire evening is open to the public at no charge, but seating is limited. For more information, please call Catskill Mountainkeeper’s office in Woodstock at 845-417-6489.
